A more considered approach to movement
My teaching combines clinical Pilates principles with a calm, personalised approach to movement, integrating nervous system–aware practice.
In sessions, the focus is on:

building strength without overloading the nervous system

creating movement patterns that feel safe and sustainable

allowing your body time to settle, centre and respond

Why I teach this way
Hi, I'm Ali.
Over the years, I’ve become drawn to working with people who need something a little different from movement — more nuance, more support, and encouragement to slow down.
That’s shaped the way I teach today.
I’m a comprehensively trained Polestar Pilates instructor, with additional training in hypermobility. My work has increasingly been shaped by an interest in how people experience movement — particularly when conventional approaches haven’t felt like a good fit.

WAYS TO WORK WITH ME
If you are new to Pilates, or a mixed equipment studio at least 1 private session is usually required to join a semi-private class unless pre-approved by Ali (book a call to discuss).

Join a small group class (3 or 4:1)
Frequent practise is the fastest way to build resilience. Join a group class and workout once or twice weekly.
Private and small group Reformer & Equipment Pilates sessions are available in my Caterham studio.
