GROUNDED STRENGTH.

Pilates for sensitive & hypermobile bodies.
Movement that works with your nervous system, not against it.

Private & Small Group Reformer & Equipment Pilates | Caterham, Surrey

This may be for you if...

  • You experience recurring aches, flare-ups or ongoing niggles;

  • You’ve been told you’re “very flexible” or hypermobile;

  • You feel easily fatigued or overwhelmed by typical exercise;

  • You want to feel more stable, supported and confident in your body;

  • Your body feels a bit different to how it used to.

A more considered approach to movement

My teaching combines clinical Pilates principles with a calm, personalised approach to movement, integrating nervous system–aware practice.

In sessions, the focus is on:

  • developing deeper body awareness

  • improving stability and control

  • building strength without overloading the nervous system

  • creating movement patterns that feel safe and sustainable

  • allowing your body time to settle, centre and respond

It could be the first time movement feels supportive rather than stressful.

Why I teach this way

Hi, I'm Ali.

I've always been fascinated by how differently people's bodies respond to movement and exercise.

I'm hypermobile myself, and first came to Pilates looking for a smarter way to manage back pain.

Over time, I realised that one of the biggest changes Pilates gave me wasn't just strength. It was awareness.

Pilates didn't just help me get stronger. It helped me understand my body better.

That's shaped the way I teach today. I'm less interested in telling people how they should move and more interested in helping them understand what's happening in their own body.

Because I've found that strength tends to come more easily when we're connected to our bodies and moving from softness.

“Pain has reduced almost to zero, and I’m getting stronger doing something I love.”
